Castleford Tigers Foundation safer communities programme partner, West Yorkshire Violence Reduction Unit, are working with Social Finance and Rocket Science to carry out research in the areas of social media, mental health, and raising aspiration.

The West Yorkshire Violence Reduction Unit works with the police, health services, schools and other agencies to tackle the underlying causes of violence. It also helps fund local projects that undertake positive preventative work with children and young people. The information from this research will be used to recommend appropriate interventions and inform West Yorkshire Violence Reduction Unit where funding might have the greatest effect.

The research is being conducted by Social Finance and Rocket Science. Social Finance is a not-for-profit based in London that works on a range of social issues, including housing and homelessness, health and social care, children’s services, domestic abuse and education. Rocket Science is an independent policy, research and grants management consultancy working for the public, charity and private sectors.

They would like to get responses from young people, parents and carers, and professionals that work with young people, who live or spend a significant amount of time in West Yorkshire. This will enable them to understand the issues from different perspectives.

The survey will take less than 10 minutes to complete. All responses are anonymous. No answers will be tracked to any individual responder. They are collecting responses from young people, parents and carers, and practitioners in separate surveys. Please select the appropriate survey below.

If you are a young person aged 11-25:
