Castleford Tigers Foundation have a vacancy for a Social Inclusion Manager to join them and coordinate the development of all areas of Foundation work around inclusion and diversity.

Job Title: Social Inclusion Manager

Reports to: Head of Operations

Department: Senior Management Team

Salary: Subject to Experience

Hours: This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week requiring flexibility to work some evenings, weekends and match days as required

Job Purpose: The post holder will coordinate, deliver and expand all activities delivered under the Trusts key strand of Inclusion.

Contract Details:

  • Full Time, Permanent
  • Auto-enrolment into the Club’s pension scheme (depending on eligibility)
  • 23 days annual leave (plus national bank holidays)

Please note that the role is subject to DBS clearance.


Key Accountabilities:

  • To coordinate the development of all areas of Foundation work around inclusion and diversity that is needs led
  • To develop links and partnerships at a neighbourhood level with local stakeholders, diverse groups and key parties.
  • To work with the Community Director and Business Development Manager to procure funding applications and commercial partnerships.
  • To coordinate various projects that come under the Inclusion theme(s), youth interventions, alternative provision, dementia cafe, PDRL & LDRL and similar awareness work
  • Ensuring monitoring, evaluations and assessment of all social inclusion projects is on track and up to date
  • To manage relationships with strategic partners
  • To ensure all participants are recruited, managed and sustained throughout the lifespan of each programme
  • To ensure strong links are maintained with all establishments, partners and stakeholders involved in Tigers Foundation programmes.
  • To work with the Community Director to support the budget for the social inclusion programmes, ensuring spend is correctly planned and on track.
  • To create and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) with external providers.
  • Work with the Community Director to procure new and renewed funding for all social inclusion programmes.
  • Promote all social inclusion programmes within the local community
  • Produce reports and presentations showing evaluation of project outcomes and outputs
  • Provide case study evidence for all social inclusion programmes.
  • To analyse feedback received from providers under specialised projects provision to ensure programmes are effectively delivered.
  • To work closely with the Head of Operations to develop staff to ensure programmes are delivered effectively.
  • Work with delivery staff to ensure they are up to date on project targets and have a thorough knowledge of the projects
  • To work closely with the Senior Managers to develop new areas of delivery.
  • To perform other duties as reasonably assigned or under the authority of the senior management team.

Qualifications =

  • Full driving licence and the use of a vehicle
  • Level 3 in Community Development/ Youth Work qualification or similar equivalent
  • NGB level 2 qualification in various sports
  • Safeguarding
  • First Aid


Knowledge =

Experience =

  • Experience of working in community setting with diverse groups and individuals
  • Designing and developing schemes of work to a high standard
  • Working with local community groups, external providers and funders
  • Developing innovative training sessions to inspire and engage young people and adults with disabilities and special educational needs
  • Organising groups based on development plans
  • Monitoring and evaluation of programmes
  • Working with young people and young adults
  • Working with young people with challenging behaviour
  • Conducting staff training and development
  • Maintaining budgets
  • Achieving set targets and outputs
  • Project management


Other comments – the job holder =

  • Must keep up to date with new methods and undertake any necessary internal or external training in accordance with company procedure/policies.
  • Has a statutory duty to observe all health and safety rules and take all reasonable care to promote the health and safety at work of themselves and their fellow employees. The Job Holder must report any health and safety issues immediately to their Line Manager in writing.
