Role Summary

We are seeking to appoint an Administration Assistant based at the The Mend-A-Hose Jungle.

You will assist in providing a prompt, efficient and effective service to ensure that the key objectives of the department teams are met in terms of the services the department provides to players, programmes, events, internal and external stakeholders.

Working as part of a close-knit team, the post holder will provide a range of services, processes, systems and procedures to assist with the smooth running and organisation of the Tigers Foundation and wider club development programme.

Principal duties/activities 

  • Co-ordination of activities and events as advised by the Youth Development, College and Foundation and team.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of departmental databases and spreadsheets.
  • Responsible for drafting letters, typing and writing administrative documents in agreed formats and within specified timescales.
  • Ensuring documents produced are of high quality in terms of brand presentation and accuracy at all times.
  • Delivering excellent customer service by providing a professional and effective electronic and telephone service, taking accurate messages and providing information and signposting as requested and appropriate.
  • Booking and organising facilities and venues for conferences, meetings and events.
  • Diary management via Microsoft Outlook. Co-ordinate and arrange travel and accommodation for the Development team.
  • Co-ordination of file and record systems to ensure information is held securely and easily accessible by appropriate team members.
  • Co-ordinate the department’s VIP invitations for the department and central RFL events.
  • Work closely with the Education team to ensure the smooth organisation of their events, collating and managing the medal order and the administration of the event database.
  • Undertaking any other tasks appropriate to this level of responsibility with some level of autonomy.
  • Act as an ambassador for and promote the best interests of the RFL (Rugby Football League) at all times, including the promotion of the RFL Core Values.
  • The post holder will be office based, however you may be required to work off site as required (home working).

  • Employability skills, including transferable skills.
