The sessions are led by Castleford Tigers’ Youth Performance staff which guarantees that they are of a high standard as they focus on both the fundamentals of the game and technical skills, as well as player’s physical and mental development.

The TTP is a crucial stage on the wider Tigers Player Pathway and enables a route from boys under-12 to under-16 available, with the pathway supported by coaches from the local community game who will attend regular coaching workshops to ensure the best possible player development environment.

Since starting six years ago, the programme has produced several current First Team players, who have since gone on to make their Super League debuts, including Jason Qareqare, Brad Graham, Jack Sadler, Lewis Peachey and Sam Hall. The programme is also the first opportunity for promising young players to showcase their talents and attitudes towards coaching and development to the Castleford performance staff.

The 2021 season was a standout year for the Academy with many of the Under 19’s team making their Super League debuts and we are looking forward to seeing the next Castleford stars of the future during the October half term!
