Castleford Tigers and its Foundation alongside club partners Anthony Higgins Transport will be collecting clothing donations for local charity The Clothing Bank who provide quality clothing for people in need.
Ahead of the Christmas period, there will sadly be some people who will be struggling to clothe themselves or their families, with times getting tougher during the cost of living crisis.
The Clothing Bank was established in January 2020 seeking to assist those in need and the good cause operation has only grown in that time. Fast forward to now and they have supplied clothing to over five thousand people!
In conjunction with Anthony Higgins Transport, we at Castleford Tigers want to help the local charity’s effort ahead of Christmas.
We are calling on supporters, the Fords faithful, if you are in a position to kindly donate good quality clothing, including uniform, sportswear or shoes, please drop off your donations at our Ticket Office/Stadium Store ahead of Christmas.
It is a cause very close to the hearts of our kit partners Anthony Higgins Transport, who will also be helping the club collect clothing and will kindly be lending one of their vehicles to transport all collected donations to one of The Clothing Bank’s 80+ drop-off points.
Castleford Tigers Foundation is proudly assisting people in need in our local region and this is the latest initiative and charity that the Foundation is supporting to help out our community.
This news is the latest generosity from Anthony Higgins Transport who during the summer donated their executive matchday box at The Jungle for two fixtures and raised over £1,000 for the Tigers’ official charity partner The Prince of Wales Hospice – you can read about that here.
HOW TO DONATE
Please drop off your donations of good quality clothing at the Tigers Stadium Store/Ticket Office during opening hours Monday to Friday, 9:30am – 4pm.
