2022 has been a year of massive growth for the Foundation’s Paws and Claws teams and Friday will serve as a fantastic reward for all of the performers’ and coaches’ efforts over the year.
When speaking to castlefordtigers.com, Paws Dance Coach Laura Carlin put forward what a special occasion it will be for the youngsters to step out and dance at a major sporting event.
“We have over 60 dancers from our Paws and Claws groups that will be taking part at the Rugby League World Cup semi-final at Elland Road on Friday night. They will be part of the dance squad that will be dancing at half-time as part of the entertainment.
“They are all really excited to get involved and perform. Normally they get to dance on the pitch here at The Jungle which they really enjoy, but for them to be able to perform at Elland Road is a really good opportunity for them.”
Claws dancer Amilee, who has recently made the step up to the senior squad for 2023, affirmed how much she is relishing the chance to perform in front of the biggest crowd she has ever danced in front of.
“I can’t wait to be dancing at the semi-finals of the World Cup with all of our Paws dancers and it will be a bigger crowd than what we are used to as well, so I think it’s going to be really nice.
“It’s going to be a new experience for us all, so we are all looking forward to it!”
Everyone at the Tigers wishes all of the dancers the best of luck and if your child would be interested in joining our Paws Dance Academy, then please contact [email protected].
