It’s not long now until Castleford Tigers’ Betfred Super League season gets underway and for the LDRL team, that moment couldn’t come sooner. The Learning Disability squad this week picked up their player passes granting them access to all matches at The Jungle. Additionally, to the collection of their pass, the players enjoyed some photography and interviews with the Media team.
Speaking about the day and LDRL as a whole, Carl Roberts said: “It’s the first time the whole team have been together since Christmas, so I think today has really helped them all out.
“Getting their pictures taken and being interviewed, it makes them feel part of the Club and like First Team players rather than just the LDRL side.
“It gives me joy to watch them running around on the field. Especially when they are so excited about playing in Castleford colours. I think it’s a really good thing.”
The LDRL variant has brought an immense amount of joy to competing players and Castleford Tigers’ player Michael Corbett commented on the sport saying: “It’s great to meet people and I have made so many good friends since being here. It feels amazing to wear the Castleford Tigers shirt.”
