Castleford Tigers Supporters Club hosted members of staff and players from our Youth Department for an incredible night of insight, all focused on our youth development!
Led by the Tigers’ Head of Youth Development, Rob Nickolay, the ‘Evening with the Youth Department’ panel on the night shared their perspectives of everything ‘Youth’ at Castleford Tigers Rugby League Football Club.

Nickolay was joined by fellow staff members; Steve Copley our Talent ID & Recruitment coach, Matty Faulkner, the Tigers’ Player Performance Manager & Women’s Head Coach, plus Scholarship coaches Chris Cartwright and Rich Garbett.
The players’ perspective was provided by Scholarship captain Alfie Hawkhead, with fellow teammate Jacob Hall, and Academy/Reserves star Hugo Nikhata.
Addressing supporters’ questions and providing a thorough overview of the club’s youth programmes, it was an incredibly insightful occasion.
Those in attendance got exclusive looks at; how the club develops players on and off the field, how the Tigers use bespoke software to monitor progression, the standards we expect from our youth players, and how the Tigers are aiming to make more players develop to a Super League standard and come through our ranks in the years to come!
The CTSC capped the night off in great fashion presenting their latest £2,500 donation to the Fords’ Youth Department which takes the fan-led group to beyond £100,000 raised and donated to the club they love!
Our thanks again go to the Castleford Tigers Supporters Club for their hard work and generosity, and we hope plenty more of the Fords faithful join the CTSC and attend fascinating events like their ‘Evening with the Youth Department’.
