Organised in conjunction with the Club and local business The Career Cabin, the Tigers’ Festive Feast saw foundation and club staff host 120 members of the Local community invited to enjoy a two-course Christmas lunch at The Mend-A-Hose Jungle to spread some festive joy to local people in need.
The day saw music, games, and special gifts for all the guests, thoughtfully provided by Tigers fans and the Castleford community.
Rachel McKimm, Managing Director at Career Cabin, said:
Castleford has always been a town with a sense of strong community links and we are finding that many people who visit our centre are disconnected from their families and friends which can lead to isolation and Loneliness.
One of our core values is that ‘each person matters’ and we believe that everyone deserves to feel wanted, Loved and included.
With this in mind, we hope that the Tigers’ Festive Feast has spread some Christmas cheer amongst those who sometimes feel forgotten by society and that we can show to them that there are people who care enough to support this fantastic day.”
